Christophe & Katherine Savage – Olive Branch Outreach
Christophe and Katherine Savage, Isabelle (1999) , Naomi (2001) and Laura (2004).
I am French and Katherine is British. We first felt the call of God to work amongst Arabs and so worked in the Middle East for 5 years doing church-planting. At the end of this time, we felt called to go back to France to do what we had learned in the Middle East, that is, church-planting. In 2009, there were 2011 evangelical churches in all of France, that is 1 for 31,000 people. How many evangelical churches are there in your area ? How difficult is it to hear the gospel ? How far do you have to drive before you find an evangelical church ? … « do you believe, as we do, that the French need to hear the message of the Gospel ? »… we sure do and we work at it… Based in a local church where Katherine is involved with children’s ministry, we have set up an independent outreach centre called « Cœurs Nouveaux » (New Hearts, taken after Ezekiel 36:26). Our vision is to equip, mobilize, motivate the French church for evangelism, AND to set up outreach teams in the larger suburban area of Lille in the North of France. We are seeking to gather new believers and form a church. Our weekly work involves door to door evangelism, visiting and discipling, children work, discovery courses. Thank you very much to NMBC for your part in our ministry. We feel very privileged and blessed for that. « The harvest is plentiful and the workers are few »; we have a small team working with us, but please pray for more workers to join « Cœurs Nouveaux ».
